Fields:

• Vehicle Price (before tax) - Price of the vehicle before tax. If you live in a jurisdiction where tax is added as part of a purchase price (Australia for instance) include the tax in this amount.
• Down Payment - The amount of money you will put down on the car.
• Trade in Amount - The amount you expect to receive from trading in your current car.
• Amount Owed on Trade - Any money you still owe on your trade in vehicle.
• Interest Rate - The interest rate of the proposed loan. This should be the interest rate and not APR.
• Sales Tax Rate - The rate of sales tax where you live. Leave as 0% if you entered a price that inclued tax.
• Term (Months) - The number of months your car loan will run over.
• Auto Loan Start Date - The month that you will take out the loan. We calculate with payments starting one month after this date.

Payment Breakdown & Balance Chart

This chart provides a yearly breakdown of the loan showing the amount of principal and interest payed as well as the balance. The data displayed represents the loans position at the end of the listed year. Hover over the chart for specific values for each point.

Amortization Schedules

This section displays two amortization schedules for your loan. The first tab displays yearly amortization, the second monthly. Each row is a snapshot of your loan at the end of the stated month or year.
